HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT OF PROGRAMMES
The course-ware was developed to address the marginalisation of labour. People and Wealth was born in a highly volatile illiterate mining environment at Western Areas Gold mine to support the sharing of company figures with staff. From there it was refined with the expertise of the then South African Breweries training unit, and further refined and constantly updated with following clients.
At about the same time, the Absa training department recruited the developer to translate the best selling book Econosense into course-ware for their banking training. That became part of another programme co-developed with SAB, called Service Excellence, which was further enhanced by input from SASOL (where the Marqual Game was developed) and SAA training experts, where a stronger service focus was created.
After the book Value through Values, the content was fully updated, enhanced and rounded in Inspired Service.
All the programmes were designed in collaboration with clients, to serve as a foundation for information sharing and encouraging employee participation in company affairs.
